THE CHALLENGE

Financial disputes are confusing, emotionally draining, and hard to navigate. The Financial Ombudsman Service plays a vital role in resolving them, but risked being lost in a crowded, complex financial landscape at the moment people need clarity most.

THE STRATEGY

We positioned the Financial Ombudsman Service as the final, clean resolution in a messy financial world — anchoring it in the resolution zone of people’s mental maps, not the service-provider jungle. Using behavioural shortcuts, we created a simple mnemonic that reduces cognitive load and builds confidence under stress: Free. Fair. Final.
